Health & Safety Policy
1. It is the policy of CJS Plastering Services to conduct its activities in such a way to eliminate or control risks to the health & safety of its sub-contractors and to any other persons including contractors and the general public affected by its operations. We believe that safe methods of working are synonymous with good business practice and health and safety will be given priority in all business and operational decisions.
2. All sub-contractors/employees are responsible for their own safety and that of others affected by their actions and omissions and for the following Company policies and procedures.
3. Every sub-contractor/employee has the right to question the adequacy of health and safety provisions and to report any unsafe condition or unsafe act at the earliest opportunity.
4. Our overall health and safety policy will be based upon the following principles and we will always:-
- Provide and maintain our work environment, work equipment, and systems of work safely and without significant risks to health.
- Implement an ongoing risk assessmentprogrammefor all work activities.
- Take action to eliminate or control risks other than by reliance on PPE.
- Identify and correct workplace deficiencies through inspections.
- Investigating injuries, illnesses, unsafe conditions and acts, to identity root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide appropriate information, instruction and supervision on matters of health and safety.
- Maintain and communicate suitable arrangements for special hazards and emergency situations.
- Consult and involve sub-contractors/employees in the workplace changes that may affect their health and safety.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation as a minimum standard.
5. This policy will be reviewed annually and revised and updated as necessary.
